im useing DVD Shrink in wine, but i cant get it to see my dvd rom....it wont see any of my cd roms at all...so im curious what do i need to do with my wine config to get it to run....any examples would be awsome

Maybe you could just add a drive in your wine config file:
| Code: | [Drive G]
"Path" = "/mnt/dvd"
"Type" = "hd"
"Label" = "dvd"
"Filesystem" = "win95"
|
Not sure about "Type" and "Filesystem" but this should work. |

I'll tell you the same thing you were told in your other thread, and the same thing I told you at computing.net. DVD ripping probably requires low-level access WINE can't emulate. Use dvdbackup (It's in portage) to rip the DVD, then use DVD Shrink on the files created by dvdbackup.
EDIT: I've done it that way, so I know it works |
