I got to reInstall my Gentoo, don't ask why jsut strange.
But thats no problem because now I have to chance to make my system better.
The question is:
I got a 30gig HDD
Now I need a good partition table, because I'd really like to have /usr, /, /home, /boot, /swap as partitions.
But how much space is needed for each one.
well I know boot and swap but I always did / as the rest and now I want to make it better.
Does anyone know how I should partition it?
How much space for ieach partition?
Did I miss anything which should have its own parition?
And how do I tell Gentoo where to mount the things which should be installed on the partition during the installation? Becaue I alway did this /mnt/gentoo stuff....
but they only tell me how to do it with 3 partitions and not more.
And how should my /etc/fstab look, becaue I think it should be ok if I mount / read only at start and only /home in rw mode? |
