gdesklets and PNG icons

Hi, I have just had a strange thing just occur!!!

I have 3 starterbars via gdesklets (one for games, one for openoffice and another containing nautilus,firefox,xmms,mplayer....)

For some reason now the apps gdesklet does not display the entries for launchers that have PNG as their icon type. (the other launchers use other pict type).

I go into ~/.gdesklets/MyStarters/RELEVANT STARTER FOLDER/
and I can see the lauchers fine. It seems gdesklets has stoped displaying PNG's

I did a emerge world before (cant remember what it was that got upgraded).

Does anyone know what is causing this.

I have re-emerged gdesklets and libpng with no effect

No clue on that really, just to say that you can see what was emerged during your last emerge world in the log file... /var/log/emerge.log. May be you were using a unstable version which was downgraded or something like that...

Using 0.26.1 here and PNG displays fine...

I have kinda solved it.

It was pyxdg that was upgraded. It seems to have a problem following some of the GNOME custom icons. If it is one that replaces a default GNOMe icon it doesnt show it or reverts to the default one.

I have overcome this by copying teh 3 icons causing the probs to /usr/share/pixmaps from /usr/share/icons/THEME/SIZE/apps/

I have checked out the forum for gdesklets and there seems to be a prob with 0.7,o.8 or pyxdg
