Hiya,
What is the easiest way to get wireless working, i.e. what wireless cards are the best supported? I have had major trouble trying to compile a kernel and load the atmel firmware. My pcmcia card works great in my laptop, but I don't have pcmcia support in my desktop (can I get an adapter card?)
It doesn't need to be anything crazy, my router is 801.11b.
Thanks |

the orinoco gold card is the stuff that dreams are made of. If you follow the Gentoo Wireless Guide then you should be fine and if you get stuck with a crap card with little to no support in linux, you can always use the windows drivers via ndiswrapper. _________________ Full House sucked. |

I'll check out the wireless guide. How can I use a PCMCIA card with my desktop? Are there well supported PCI-PCMCIA bridge cards? |
