Hi,
I've got Apache (2) running fine. No SSL. I emerge Webmin and go to localhost:10000 and see the message
Going to that adress (yes, that's my IP) gives me a timeout. No Webmin, ever.
What to do? I can't find any help on this error anywhere, or perhaps I just don't understand what my problem is. _________________ Excelsior! |

Webmin has its own (perl-based) webserver; it does not and can not use an external web server.
So you need to use that URL and stop worrying.
Or start thinking, whichever suits you
EDIT: Oh it still doesn't work ?
Then you probably don't have SSL, do you ?
USE ssl and rebuild. _________________ >>> emerge (3 of 7) mcse/70-293 to /

Yeah, that's true -- I just hadn't quite made the connection to the fact that this isn't related to Apache.

Actually, it's the thinking that makes me worry!
Wow, now it works. The https://192.168.1.250:10000 link given by Webmin is snatched by my Apache, I just have to use https://localhost:10000 instead. I dont' quite understand why, but what the hey...
Thanks for your input! _________________ Excelsior! |
