Anyone have a working Ultra 10 Creator 3D X configuration file they can post for me?
I have a friend who is having issues getting video up on his Ultra 10 Creator 3D.
Thanks,

do you know what video framebuffer they're running? mach 64? or the fullsize sun card. |

the creator(3d) sucks big time imho...
i suggest using the onboard mach64
just use the "ati" video driver
you won't get opengl (which the creator had if it worked), but at least xvideo
i was able play dvd-resolution xvid/divx smoothly with only a 333mhz cpu - in full-screen 1280x1024 of course!
if you really want a working creator, try kernel 2.6.6 and use the "sunffb" driver and xorg-6.8.0-r1
that should work somehow, glxgears gave me 430fps, but no picture though (there's still a lot wrong with the video driver)
there's not much else to do in the XF86config/xorg.conf. just set it up with xf86config/xorgcfg and change the following section:
Section "Device"
Identifier "My Video Card"
Driver "sunffb"
# Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate
EndSection
oh, and don't forget to uncomment the lines
Load "glx"
Load "dri"
in the "Modules" section or you won't get DRI (which you obviously desire) |

That worked! Took out the creator and configured on board video and it came right up.
Sometime may try to get the creator to work but for now the onboard will work.
