I set up the kernel to use framebuffer, so that I use the full screen for console works. then I installed gnome, but it doesn't start and says that it can't run in framebuffer mode. What should I do? I wanna use full screen for text console, but I will need to use gnome eventually.
Is there a way to have both running concurrently?
And another probably a bit silly question. I've installed gnome. Do I have to install anything else to use graphical interface?
Do I just start it by typing "startx"? (just to make sure I do it right).
Thank you. |
