|
|
There seems to be a bug with cdrtools since 2.1_alpha33 und a number of Cyberdrive CDRWs. Mine CW088D and doesn't work either.
The bug is already filled in the gentoo bug tacker:
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65372
It is also described in the debian bug tracker:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=265747
cdrtools-2.1 seems to be stable now, 2.1_alpha_28 has been removed from portage and my ability to burn cd is gone since my last update ;(
So what can I do to get my burner working again? Downgrading doesn't seem to be an option, because the version doesn't exist in portage anymore. |

Last resort you could download the i386 cdrecord from their website, and replace yours with it.
I had to do the same, with mkisofs, as the latest doesn't work with xcdroast.
I really don't know why the other ebuilds have been removed. _________________ Tyan Tiger K8W, 2xOpteron 240,Powerbook5,6 15" 1.5g, Macbook Black 2g, Mac Mini 1g, Ipod P60g.

That is what i did. I compiled the 2.0 version by myself. Because of the dependencies i hat to add cdrtools-2.01 to /etc/portage/profile/package.provided.
Why isn't there an any alternative to cdrecord? |
