I can not seem to get rid of the default gensplash theme with a tux in the corner that dissapears half way though the boot ( I assume this is the default gensplash, or am I terribly wrong here?) Can someone point out to me what I have done wrong. Quote: | gentoo john # mount /boot/

yes, I followed that guide and then nothing changes when I do Code: | # mount /boot
# splash_geninitramfs -v -g /boot/fbsplash-emergence-1024x768 -r 1024x768 emergence | and update grub config accordingly |
