|

When I do
Code: | emerge -uDpv mjpegtools |
I get the following result.
Code: | [blocks B ] media-libs/libquicktime (from pkg media-libs/quicktime4linux-2.0.0-r1)
[blocks B ] media-libs/openquicktime (from pkg media-libs/quicktime4linux-2.0.0-r1) |
libquicktime, openquicktime, quicktime4linux.
Well, which one should I use? |

means that you need to uninstall those programs because it blocks the installation of mjpegtools. . |

Personally, I don't use any of them. I know its not open source, but Code Weavers makes some very nice wine frontends, whether it be Crossover Office of Crossover Plugin, that work very well with Apple's Quicktime and most web browers. I really like being able to watch imbedded quciktime videos. On top of that, it offers better support for stuff like flash and shockwave too. And though I've never tried running quicktime4linux or openquicktime, I've read that they have lessened capabilities. |

Yes, but I mjpegtools has an option to use quicktime, so I just assume that I still need one of these packages. |
