ok, so I read have a regular lan and a wirless-pci card installed. the regular lan is no problem.

The wireless (ath_pci) I can load and configure manually and it works. However I cannot seem to get it working with init. ....net.eth* no wireless devices found. and of course I know it's there I can configure using iwconfig

I read this forum for directions https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=122435

and he say's here:

and of course the net.lo is the loopback device???

now how does that make sense??

if someone has this working could you please help explain this? I don't want to screw up this system just yet.
