Does this thing work? It uses an AR5004X, and I'm not sure it works with madwifi. I know the first version works, but it has an AR5001X (AR5212) chipset. |

The Madwifi README:
Quote: | Atheros Hardware
================
There are currently 3 "programming generations" of Atheros 802.11
wireless devices (some of these have multiple hardware implementations
but otherwise appear identical to users):
5210 supports 11a only
5211 supports both 11a and 11b
5212 supports 11a, 11b, and 11g |
So as mentioned here, if your device has a 5212 it should work. (I have a 5212-chipset. It works, but the driver ist still very unstable. I get kernel oopses sometimes...) |

I've checked the mailing list. It's supported - albeit very recently. |
