|
|
One more set of question for tonight:
I'm trying to emerge vim. After adding macos keyword to vim and vim-core, and using ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~ppc-macos", I get the programs that will be installed (using -p).
These programs are:
ctags
python-fchksum
debianutils
portage
vim-core
vim
Questions:
1) Should I add debianutils to my provided list?
2) Is it safe to emerge the new portage, or will it break and die?
Thanks a ton!

Can't speak to your other questions but the 2.0.51-r2 portage is working fine on my x86 box. r1 did cause a mess but no problems now.

I'd need to know if the new portage works on macos though...for a while, I think it broke stuff. I didn't have it installed at the time though, so I didn't worry about it.
Thanks

Doesn't OS X already have vim? I'm fairly certain it does |
