Basically ive resized my desktop icons but when i say put a new icon on the desktop its the default big size. Id like to do the same for icons inside folders when using nautilus too if possible. Anyone know how?

Don't resize each icon manually. Since Nautilus handles the drawing of the desktop icons, if you set the icon size in Nautilus the same size will be used on the desktop as well, at least that's how it is in Gnome 2.6.
In Nautilus:
Edit --> Preferences --> Views --> Default zoom level
You will probably need to log out of Gnome and back in for the changes to propagate to the desktop icons.
[Edit] This new setting won't override the custom sizes you've already given your existing desktop icons, so on each icon you'll need to right-click and hit "Restore Icon's Original Size". |
