Bootsplash problems

I'm trying to patch the kernel using bootsplash_patch. I get the following output.

Did it work? It doesn't look like it... Any pointers? It is supposed to work on amd64 and I don't see any bugs.

I may be mistaken, but the latest 2.6 kernels (gentoo-dev-sources) are already patched... you don't need to do anything other than select the option when building your kernel.

you should not use bootsplash.

Gensplash is far better, it is in the gentoo-dev-sources and it works

I used this howto:

and it worked like a charm
