Does anyone know if there is a module available for nforce3's onboard NIC for gentoo's 64bit? I want the internet while im installing Gentoo, however I am unaware of how I can "emerge" and get the right file if I can't get online. Can someone tell me how please?
I also have a problem with detecting the SATA hard drive that I own, but I'm sure that will be fixable when I get the internet working.....
thanks! |

thanks for the reply! unfortunately forcedeth loads but doesn't allow internet access, i did net-config eth0 also and i still cannot ping anything, but there's more stuff to try in the manual, so i will do those, however any help would be greatly appreciated
the last linux distro i had with the internet working at this location needed the nvnet module loaded...i guess i could mount the windows partition and get the file that way, however i can't locate my hard drive (seagate sata drive on nvidia sata controller) without nv_sata module hehe |
