Installing Gentoo in VM Ware

Has anyone experience insstalling Gentoo in a VM Ware session on Windows XP?
And is it possible to stop compiling in the evening and continue compiling the next evening from where it stopped?

yea, works great. you just need to switch from scsi disk support to ide disk support, for some reason scsi causes trouble with grub...

I use scsi disks and it works.
