When trying to modprobe the nvidia kernel i get this error:

Whcih kernel, and which nVidia module ?
You need the ~masked nvidia driver (61.11) for the 2.6.9 kernel! _________________ >>> emerge (3 of 7) mcse/70-293 to /

I have the same problem.... It was working yesterday, and after emerge world, it simply stopped working... same error as stated above... how would I go about fixing this?
thank you..
and Why after finally getting it to work, would there be a problem in this package?

I fixed mine by reading the guide in this post.
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=244104
Read that, and give it a try, and if you already have the nvidia module loading dont echo it into the file again, i got a weird result out of double loading it. |
