Hallo,
Problem1: Ich weiß nicht, woran es liegt. Einmal funktioniert Sound über Arts, einmal wieder nicht. Je nach Lust und Laune des Systems.
Wenn ich XMMS ausder Konsole starte, bekomme ich folgende Meldung, nachdem ich ein mp3 starten will:
| Code: | unix_connect: can't connect to server (unix:/tmp/mcop-markus/linux-1849-417e1c83)
artsxmms_open(): Unable to initialize aRts: Can't connect to aRts soundserver
Message: Init failed:1

Problem2: Wenn ich beispielsweise in Mozilla auf Bearbeiten->Einstellungen gehe, öffnet sich der Dialog in einem maximal großen Fenster. Dasselbe gilt auch für Javascript Popups. Wwarum werden die Fenster nicht in ihrer vorgesehenen Größe geöffnet? |

Hi,
schau dir mal xmms-arts an. 
Ist ein Plugin, damit XMMS nativ auf aRTs ausgeben kann.

Ja, aber das nutzt nichts, wenn der Soundserver nicht gestartet ist.
Stelle ich auf aRts, bekomme ich dieses Fehlermeldungspopup:
Please Check that:
Your Soundcard is configured properly...usw. |

Gibt es wirklich keine Lösung für das leidige Fluxbox Problem, welches jegliche Fenstergrößen stur ignoriert und Fenster in maximaler Größe öffnet, obwohl es das gar nicht sollte? (browsereigene Fenster, Javascript Popupfenster die obwohl sie eine fixe Größe haben maximiert geöffnet werden usw)
Ich überlege ob ich wieder auf KDE wechseln soll, weil man so keine Webseiten erstellen kann, falls wirklich mal irgendwo ein Popup vorkommen sollte (obwohl ich sowieso immer versuche diese zu vermeiden) |

probier mal esound als soundserver und xmms mit dem "media-plugins/xmms-morestate" plugin

Das Soundproblem wurde bereits gelöst, danke. Es geht mir alleine um das Fensterproblem. Ichwollte nur kein neues Posting deswegen anfangen.
P.S XMMS war nicht mit esound kompiliert, deswegen konnte ich dieses Plugin zuerst nicht auswählen. |
