The writer does not support writing double layer DVDs.

Read: -4X DVD-R, 4X DVD-RW, 4X DVD+R, 4X DVD+RW, 8X DVD-ROM, 24X CD-ROM, 2X DVD-RAM
Write: -2.4X DVD+R, 2.4X DVD+RW, 4X DVD-R, 2X DVD-RW, 16X CD-R, 8X CD-RW, 2X DVD-RAM _________________ Registered Linux User #328996

The writer has to support double layer. Looks like yours doesn't, as K3B said.
The are quite a few options for copying a movie.
My preference is dvd-shrink running under wine.
Search the forum for other options, or buy a 2 layer burner. |
