for solution, see bottom message

I recently installed a Gentoo stage 2 system. All options and configurations are exactly written as the handbook told.

But after installing all packages succesfull, the handbook told me to reboot the system, but from there it went wrong.

I've got an error:
Code:

ds: no socket drivers loaded!
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:03

Because I first used GRUB, I later tried Lilo, but when I want to run Lilo to get the new made configuration files loaded I've got an error too:
Code:

Warning: '/proc/partitions' does not match '/dev' directory structure.
   Name change: '/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/disc' -> '/dev/hda'
   The kernel was compiled with DEVFS_FS, but 'devfs=mount' was omitted
       as a kernel command-line boot parameter; hence, the '/dev' directory
       structure does not reflect DEVFS_FS device names.
Added gentoo *

I read a lot topics on this forum on the problem, but al other topics are for different situations as mine.

Solution
The problem was that I compiled de filesystems as modules <M> but it must bu built-in <*>[/b]
