cannot find /etc/sysconfig

hi all,

i recently installed and configured everything in my averatec 5110h model laptop except, the ipw2100 wireless card. for that i needed scripts which are usually in the /etc/sysconfig directory
but i do not have them . Does anybody know where to get them or which package to emerge.

gentoo does have /etc/sysconfig

try looking for your stuff in /etc/conf.d/
