has anyone got windows media 9 running on a 64 bit mplayer?
I have all the codecs installed (at least I think so), they are admittedly the 32 bit codec package, however I have no problems playing back wmv 8 and below.
Anyone got any ideas? |

Anyone got any ideas? | mplayer seems to have limited native support for some older wmv formats, but a 64-bit mplayer cannot use 32-bit wincodecs. I've got the same problem, hopefully I'll be able to shoehorn a 32-bit mplayer into my system... _________________ Petition for Better 64-bit ATI Drivers - Sign Here

I believe ffmpeg allows you to play wmv9. _________________ --> Linux ### 2.6.11-ck2 #1 Sat Mar 12 20:21:30 WET 2005 i686 GNU/Linux <-- |

Ah, that explains it and I'll definately give ffmpeg a whirl, if that works I can finally relegate windows to game playing (damn you ATI where are those drivers!)
Thanks for all your help |
