HP USB scanner support

Hello everybody

I have a HP Scanjet 2100 USB scanner. Can this scanner be operated under Gentoo Linux? I`m using the udev pseudo filesystem. Any suggestions?

According to http://www.sane-project.org/lists/sane-mfgs-cvs.html#Z-HEWLETT-PACKARD this scanner should work well in linux using the plustek backend.

ok. I made a search for the plustek package but only found a plustek-paraller. I have a USB scanner. What package do I need to emerge?
