trying to sort out a win4ln kernel - this is the win4linsupport suggestion

One thing to note - there have been problems reported with preemption compiled in kernels with Win4Lin patches. You might try recompiling the kernel without preempt and see if that works any better.

How do do that ? |

how did you compile your kernel in the first place?
if you used genkernel, then just run it again. Under menuconfig go to "Processor type and features" there you will find Preemptible Kernel.
make sure it is not selected and re-compile your kernel (ie save and exit if you are using genkernel) _________________ Kororaa install method - have Gentoo up and running quickly and easily, fully automated with an installer! |
