I have MSI K8N Neo2(MS-7025) mainboard with such built-in devices: (below from manual)

LAN: supports dual lan jacks
-1st LAN supports 10/100/1000 Fast Ethernet by Marvell 88E1111 or Realtek 8201B/CL PHY
-2nd LAN supports 10/100/1000 Fast Ethernet by Realtek or 8110S(1000Mbps) or 8100C(10/1000Mbps)

Audio: chip integrated by Realtek ALC850 (7.1 ch H/W audio)
-Direct Sound AC97 audio
-7.1 Channel Output
-1 CD-In

Now my problems:

1)Kernel detects only 1 built-in network card:

Code:

eth0; RealTek RTL8139 at 0x8800, 00;55;d0;c0;2b;11, IRQ 3
eth0;  Identified 8139 chip type 'RTL-8139C'

- this is my old pci card
Code:

eth1; Identified chip type is 'RTL8169s/8110s'.
eth1; RTL8169 at 0xf982f000, 00;11;09;61;ed;8a, IRQ 5
eth1; Auto-negotiation Enabled.
eth1; 100Mbps Full-duplex operation.

this is one built-in, my network cable is here, works fine

what should i enable in kernel to use second card? should i download any drivers?
There are some possibilities in type of card, so how do i know which one is on my motherboard?

2) Sound:

I have enabled ALSA susbsytem in kernel, but i haven`t found driver for my card in list. Which module should be used for my card?

Code:

Creative EMU10K1 PCI Audio Driver, version 0.20a, 19;39;40 Oct 14 2004
emu10k1;EMU10K1 rev 8 model 0x8040 found, IO at 0x8000-0x801f, IRQ 5
ac97-codec; AC97  codec, id; TRA35 9TriTech TR A50
Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.4 9Mon May 17 14;
31;
44 2004 UTC0.ALSA device list;
  No soundcards found.

sound blaster works fine;
what about ac97-codec... message? is this built-in card? how make alsa to see it? or?...

Currently my kernel is 2.6.8-gentoo-r7, cpu is AMD64, i use it in 32-bit mode.

Experimental support has been added to alsa 1.05/6 you should try them. If it does not work you have to wait or get a cheap pci soundcard (SB live).

the second onboard ethernet controller is actually the nforce ethernet, the chips you listed are only PHYs.

so you'll want the latest alsa possible (2.6.9-nitro3 or nitro4) or patch it yourself

ethernet you use the Reverse Engineered Driver found under 10/100 in network devices (even though it's under 10/100, gigabit is reported to be working) module name: forcedeth

sound, i'm not so sure on but i think you'll want to use the intel/sis/nvidia ac'97 driver (snd-intel8x0). don't expect any miracles out of it tho :-/
