spamassassin always returns 2.60

I have installed spamassassin and tested it with the test_installation.sh script which works fine, spam gets detected and as clam av is on there as well the test viruses get detected too.

But... when I send mail to the box from another box spamassassin always reports:

(clamdscan: 0.75. spamassassin: 2.60. Clear:RC:1(192.168.0.4):.

regardless of the content of the mail.

Can anyone suggest why?
