I am trying to use my two sata drives together with kernel version 2.4 and 2.6. Kernel 2.4 detects both sata dives without any problems as /dev/hde and /dev/hdg. When I tray to use the same configuration (loading siimage) with kernel 2.6 the drives come up as SCSI-drives (/dev/sd[a,b]) which conflicts with my raid configuration. What can I do?

No matter what you try, the 2.6.X kernels will force SATA drives to show up as SCSI (/dev/sdX) opposed to IDE (/dev/hdX). _________________ M. Hayden - San Antonio, TX |
