Hi People,
I have Gentoo running as guest inside VMWare running on a Win2K box. I have xdm running under default services.
The problem is, I do not know how to switch between graphical and terminal modes under gentoo-vmware. The usual cntrl-alt-F1 key does not seem to work under VMWare. Any ideas?
Also another issue, I have KDM setup and I can move to the Console Login from the menu using Alt-L. However when I do that, somehow my X restarts and I am pushed back into the grapical mode...this is weird and is driving me nuts! Please help...
Thanks in advance to for any replies! |

Well, the ctrl-alt combination may possibly be throwing your focus away before the F1 key is pressed. Have you tried this is in full-screen mode?
If all else fails, the command
Will manually change to virtual terminal 1. |
