|
|
hi i was installing gentoo on my machine and when i got to the emerge --sync step it gave me this error message after emerging the portage tree
Code: | * An update to portage is available. It is _highly_ recommended
* that you update portage now, before any other packages are updated.
* Please do so then update ALL of your configuration files. |
before the error message it gave some files, so i followed that trail into "/usr/portage/profile/update/" where there eight or so file that contain what look like portage scripts to move folders around?(maybe?) anydangway, it would not let me straight execute those files as srcipts, which is what i thought i might have to do, so i am stuck. Do anyone know what to do?
thanx in advance. |

Heh I remember when I hit that error message the first time I installed gentoo, and I did the same thing. Looked at the screen with a blank stare trying to figure out what the hell that ment. Now I look back and it is kinda obvious isn't it. _________________ Come and play in my land |
