Hey, is xorg and ATI's drivers compatable with LCD monitors? I'd like to get a new flatscreen, but I'm hesitant because I don't want it to not work.
And, if it does work, is there anything extra that I need to do in the dirvers/kernel to make it work? _________________ Check out my...

yes I have had them working for a while, nothing extra required, only issue is xorg-6.8 is still crap with ati _________________ iain |

In general there is basically no difference as far as the computer is concerned between LCD's and CRT's.
That being said, if it's on a DVI connection that is different to a VGA - nVidia drivers do require a small change to take advantage of that. Don't know if the same applies to any other drivers though - afaik no? |
