Alright, I just installed firefox 1.0-pre2, and now the fonts in my flash plugin are really screwy. How can I fix this? I think that it is simply pointint to the wrong font (it's one of the novelty fonts in the 6000 font archive).

Hmm, there is no "arial" font in linux... perhaps I can copy it from windoze. maybe that would fix it?

The website that you said, the text wasn't part of the flash... try these websites instead:

http://www.homestarrunner.com (look at the text at the bottom, it should be arial)
http://www.purevolume.com/relientk (look at the font in the player on the right, also you should be able to do any artist, I just picked Relient K)

And uhh, I could make all the screenshots that I wanted, but I don't have anywhere on the internet to upload & hotlink them...

Actually, I saw something called ImageShack. anyone know what that's all about?

I have a similar problem, except that I have missing text altogether. For example, on the homestarrunner.com site, there's no text at the bottom. I think it's the result of a bitmap font taking over for the ttf, but I don't really know how to fix it aside from pulling all of my fontpaths and starting from scratch.

Hi!
I've exactly the same problem. Unfortunately I didn't find this thread, so I created a new one:
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-341436-highlight-flash+ugly.html

Did anyone ever solve this problem?
