problems updating 32-bit emulation libraries

I recently updated portage and now when I type emerge -up world to see what it's going to do I see this:

[blocks B ] <app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-baselibs-1.2 (from pkg app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-glibc-1.1)

Anyone know how I can resolve this block or at least why the glibc 32-bit emu libraries are blocking baselibs?
