Hi,
I'm wondering whether I should use the kernel component CONFIG_MPENTIUMIII (PentiumIII/etc) or CONFIG_MPENTIUMM (Pentium Mobile) for my laptop as it's an 800mhz PentiumIII M chip. Just a little thrown off because the only exclusion listed in Help for the Pentium Mobile is the Pentium-4 M. Also, are there any other special items I should select for this particular laptop (possibly for anyone who has setup the same or similar)? Thanks. |

You must select Pentium III.
Pentium M is the 'Centrino' processor, it supports for example SSE2, which the PIII lacks. |
