postal2 postal2mpdemo not working

I heard that people were not able to get postal2mpdemo to work on gentoo.

I got it to work with blackbox with "LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libGL.so.1 postal2mpdemo"

with kde I used "killall -9 artsd && LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libGL.so.1 postal2mpdemo && artsd &"

For kde if you are wondering, I could not get it to work with "artsshell suspend". artsd would start again before postal started and screw the sound up. If you have a better solution post it here. Thank you.
