I downloaded a wmv file and cant seem to get the video working. I have several other of these crappy formatted files and they seem to work. But this one refuses to display video.. I get audio and this error,
| Code: | Cannot find codec matching selected -vo and video format 0x50564D57.

cant seem to find anything matching that hexidecimal. im pretty sure i have all the wmv codecs installed. Ive tried forcing each wmv codec thats in the -vc help list but i still get the same error.. Any ideas ? |

Hi,
I assume it's one of this issues (not making it play the wmv):
1# the wmv file is corrupted or have errors in the video stream
2# that's not an wmv file (only having the file end name) ....
let's find out, tell me what the following command outputs to your
command line (substitute wmvfile.wmv with your filename):
