Hello all,
I need to make the following script run on startup to make my mouse work properly.
xmodmap -e "pointer = 1 2 3 6 7 4 5"
Not quite sure how to go about doing this. I've googled and come up with several options, but none seems to work on my system. Any ideas? _________________ "He who would be a man must be a nonconformist." -Emerson |

Check out /etc/conf.d/local.start
Also looks like it might be used to change settings for a pointer in X, in which case you can edit the config file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf for xorg). _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo?

put it ~/.xinitrc _________________ There is, a not-born, a not-become, a not-made, a not-compounded. If that unborn, not-become, not-made, not-compounded were not, there would be no escape from this here that is born, become, made and compounded. - Gautama Siddharta |

Try putting the line Code: | pointer = 1 2 3 6 7 4 5 | in ~/.Xmodmap . |

the .Xmodmap tip seems to work the best. None of the others seems to have worked on my system. I received an error during the bootup process when I tried the local.start option. Sorry, it flashed by too fast for me to catch anything except the filename in the error message. Thanks for all your help!!
