Hey, I finally got Gentoo installed, but now when I start it up through GRUB it seems to stop loading half-way through. The startup goes through all of the different things that it is initializing, then after it says:
Code: |
...
* Starting fcron... [ ok ]
* Bringing eth0 up... [ ok ]
* Mounting network filesystems... [ ok ]
* Starting local... [ ok ] |
after this it stops for a while, then it displays the following lines:
Code: | INIT: Id "c1" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "c3" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "c2" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "c4" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "c5" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "c6" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: no more processes left in this runlevel |
after this, it waits 5 minutes I guess, then prints this message again, waits another 5 mins, prints again, and so on. What is going on?? |

Have you read all the threads that come up in a forum search for "respawning"? _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
