Seems like this file system makes my computer lag. Any pointers into how I can somehow fix this? |

Did you enable debugging for reiser4? _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved. Help answer the unanswered

Somehow I doubt that reiser4 is responsible. You may want to try a kernel with the ck patches. I have absolutely no speed/lag problems with reiser4 whatsoever. _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved. Help answer the unanswered

You mention gentoo-dev-sources 2.6.9, but I seem to remember that did not yet have reiser4.
And did you change anyting else in the kernel config? _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved. Help answer the unanswered

I patched the gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.9-r1 with reiser4 support. I got the patch from these forums. |

you may want to try the cko kernel (its ck + a few other niceties, including reiser4). Its linked on the ck page: http://members.optusnet.com.au/ckolivas/kernel/ _________________ now stand back, I gotta practice my STABBIN'... |

Using the cko2 sources now. Seems like only Qt apps are lagging. Would it help to reinstall Qt? |
