Framebuffer Hi-Res Console doesn't start instantly

Hello

I've compiled framebuffer support in my kernel. When I boot the computer the kernel loads and for about 10 seconds I've ugly 640x480 on my screen. Then it switches to beautiful 1024x768.

Is it possible to have 1024x768 instantly? So the bootloader (grub) is displayed in this resolution and the kernel too from the beginning?
