When trying to emerge xorg 6.8.0-r1

I get this error:

OS Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/usr/share/fonts/TTF/encodings.dir

Any idea how to fix this? Apart from re-installing Gentoo that is

P.S. Not first installation, had earlier version running before...

got the same problem on my laptop...

when you type the following in /usr/shar/fonts, do you get this output?

Code:
SatanClaus fonts # find -type l | while read line; do ls -Flah $line; done
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 40 Oct 25 23:32 ./default/encodings.dir -> /usr/share/fonts/encodings/encodings.dir
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 40 Oct 25 23:31 ./75dpi/encodings.dir -> /usr/share/fonts/encodings/encodings.dir
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 40 Oct 25 23:32 ./local/encodings.dir -> /usr/share/fonts/encodings/encodings.dir
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 40 Oct 25 23:32 ./Speedo/encodings.dir -> /usr/share/fonts/encodings/encodings.dir
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 40 Oct 25 23:32 ./artwiz/encodings.dir -> /usr/share/fonts/encodings/encodings.dir
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 40 Oct 25 23:31 ./100dpi/encodings.dir -> /usr/share/fonts/encodings/encodings.dir
SatanClaus fonts # ls /usr/share/fonts/encodings/encodings.dir
ls: /usr/share/fonts/encodings/encodings.dir: No such file or directory
SatanClaus fonts #

I'll try to delete all those dead links as I think portage has a problem with comparing the files with a non existing link-target... don't know how this comes though.
