the title sais it all folks

I've just proudly installed my stage1 gentoo system, and when I reboot, i notice ethernet's gone. I pinpoited the proble,+m though:

# modprobe -v e100
insmod /lib/modules/2.6.9-gentoo-r1/kernel/drivers/net/e100.o
FATAL: Eror inserting e100 (lib/modules/2.6.9-gentoo-r1/kernel/drivers/net/e100.o): Invalid module format
#

I've emerged both modules with
# emerge e100
what's going on here?

I'm a total noob when it comes to gentoo (but i have had rh9 for a year now and have been very dissapointed by the rpm and all that shit, that enforces it's own solutions to everything)

[closed...] I have just found out that e100 and e1000 drivers are ment for 2.4.x kernels only. _________________ Atoms are watching...
