Problem with users-admin(GnomeUsers and Groups) application

Hi

I have some trouble from Gnome "Users & Groups" application (users-admin
from command console):

1) the 1st problem; when I run the application as root ; the windows
appears but not completly and the windows is frozen:
I receive the message:" The window "Users & Groups" is not responding.
Beside A message from the console from where I lauched the application
appears:

(users-admin:7187): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session
manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols
specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.

2) The second problem is when I run it as a normal user: I go to modify
a setting. The thing is every setting I modified is not saved ( when I
Re-Run the application All I saved is not there(

Anybody has an idea ?
