I've got 512 MB of memory and I made 1 GB of swap space. But from the above, it looks like I'm not using my swap?
At the moment, the box is running an emerge on mod_perl and I have 3 ssh sessions going.
Any ideas? |

There's plenty of free physical memory available @ moment of snapshot so why using swap when there's enough ram ? |

Linux doesn't handle memory and virtual memory as Windows do. It doesn't move huge amounts of data from the RAM to the disk unless it has to (unlike Windows)... :p _________________ Gentoo Hardened Linux 2.6.21 + svorak (Swedish dvorak) |
