hello,
I emerged proftpd and when i start the server with the default distribution config file i couldn't login with any user ( no root (wich is normal) but no ordinary users either )
Could this have to do with my pam auth. modules ?
I didn't have these problems with my previous install of Gentoo

| I seem to be having a similar problem. I was running a Gentoo 1.2 install with proftpd and openssh working fine. I then went through the upgrade process to 1.4rc1. After some problems I ended up doing an emerge -e world. Now I can't log into proftpd with any user accounts and I can't seem to login to ssh using password authentication (although public-key authentication works fine). |
