i cant access to my dvd with dma - hdparm gives an errormessage

HDIO_SET_DMA failed: Operation not permitted

dma with my hdds works fine and

# CONFIG_IDEDMA_ONLYDISK is not set

so i think this is mobo-related - does anybody get this working? btw: a little mysterious is, that the dvd is not automatical detected by the kernel while booting, so i had to add hdc=cdrom to kernel-parms in order to access the drive in general.

more infos:
with my old system dma works fine with that drive (and without kernelparm).
kernel 2.6.9-ck2
dvd: lg4040b - 304(ew)

//edit: after loading bios-defaults und setup the bios-stuff again, it works :oops:
