Hey all,
Is the RS6000 a PPC architecture (risc) ? I've got an IBM RS/6000 N40 notebook which seems to be some sort of hardened field type laptop (I think made by Tadpole) which I'm really liking but currently runs AIX. Is the PPC architecture the correct gentoo version to install? I think this thing was made around 1994, 1995. I want to see if I can make use of it as my car computer.
Anyhelp much appreciated. |

Looks like it's a PowerPC 601 (at least according to http://www.rootvg.net/column_risc.htm, down the page), but the IBM page for the thing seems to have disappeared, so I don't have any other clue. Hope that the confirmation it's a PowerPC helps a bit. I guess that the PPC Gentoo is indeed the right Gentoo version (if any). _________________ Quid latine dictum sit altum videtur |
