Hi all, i'm looking for some info about running Courier-Imapd as unprivileged user rather then root as it is running now...

I have a Postfix Virtual Domain setting, so i can access all maildirs , stored under root path /home/vmail, as vmail:vmail user ... i would like to give this privileges also to courier-imapd ...

Someone knows how to get it run this way ? :)

Courier-imap gets its permission settings from whichever authentication module you are using. You can set up the permission/directory stuff using one of the mysql/postgresql/userdb modules.
