Previously my prompt used to look like this:
....[editing in a sec]
Now it looks like this:
With the first configuration, i was starting X from the command line ( startx ) and was already logged in as a use; but i was able to run any and all programs, including gamesr... With the new one, I'm using graphical login and now i have issues when i start games, I have to do this:
Code: | cp /home/willyumyum/.Xauthority /root/.Xauthority |
each time i log back into my account (after rebooting) to get any games to work..
I'm wondering how I can fix it and have things work and look like they did before, and also get my normal bash promt back..
Thanks in advance! _________________ Cheers,
Will

I'll take a guess: ~/.bash_profile or /etc/profile isn't parsed.
Post your ~/.bash_profile, or just see if it parses your ~/.bashrc and/or /etc/profile.
What happens if you run source `/etc/profile` or `source ~/.bashrc`? _________________ Best regards,
