I am kind of new to kernels and I am trying to understand something. I am also not sure if this is totally the correct place to be putting this post.

I have noticed that if I have High Memory set to 4GB in my kernel, certain applications like Cedega complain that there is not enough memory. When I turn it off the applications run fine. I have 4GB of memory in the machine but only 1GB is showing due to this problem. Am I missing something in the kernel config that would better map my memory so that I can use all 4GB properly and be able to run the apps I am having problems with?

What version of the kernel and glibc are you running? Can you post your kernel config from /usr/src/linux/config here so we can see?
